The opening of Silver Lyan marks D.C. as a new international drinks destination, but it’s designed to be a welcoming spot where you can just as easily stop by on your way home. Order a Half-Smoke Rickey (Fennel seed Ford’s gin, lime, flat top shrub, soda) and settle in a deep lounge chair to take in the historic space, vibey ambience, and concise menu of bright and clean bar bites that is designed – much like the drinks – to be enjoyed with good company.
We had so much fun collaborating with Katana Kitten last year, that we’re doing it again! Inspired by the Japanese custom of flower viewing known as hanami and the original 1912 gift of cherry trees from the people of Japan to the United States, we’ll be transforming the bar just in time for Cherry Blossom season. A bespoke cocktail menu featuring House of Suntory spirits will run from March 27th through April 1st, with exclusive whisky tastings, signature Silver Lyan surprises, Katana Kitten party vibes, and appearances from Masa Urishido and Mr Lyan.
Expect innovative drinks with unexpected ingredients, a fully immersive experience and, of course - a great time. Katana Kitten never disappoints, and Silver Lyan always delivers - this is one not to miss.

As an international drinks destination, Silver Lyan is designed to be enjoyed with good company. The Cabinet Room within the bar sits in what was once the vault of Riggs National Bank. The space has been transformed and is now filled with comfortable seating and cabinets displaying a diverse collection of antique trophies, all under the original metal ceiling. The Cabinet Room is a unique space for private parties and group gatherings of folk who enjoy good drinks and a good time.
