Based on the evolving guidance from the CDC, WHO and local government and health agencies about how we can slow the spread of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, we’ve made the difficult but appropriate decision to temporarily pause on having guests stay with us.

Accessibility

Riggs Washington DC is ready and able to accommodate guests with disabilities and/or requiring wheelchair access. Riggs entrance is at street-level with no steps or access ramp required, and there is also a drop-off valet area at the Hotel’s main entrance for guests arriving by automobile.

Our lobby and restaurant are all situated on the ground floor, making the public spaces of the hotel are all easily accessible. Riggs offers guest rooms that are fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), meaning guests can enjoy their stay in complete comfort.

Each of our accessible rooms come equipped with:

  • Lowered bathroom sink
  • Roll-in shower, with built-in bench, handrails inside and outside the shower, and hand-held shower with hose
  • Lowered wardrobe rails and safe for easier access
  • Additional space to accommodate a wheelchair
  • Hearing accessible rooms with visual alarms
