Our Spaces, from Getting Ready to the Last Dance
Riggs Washington DC is a historic hotel wedding venue in Penn Quarter, offering 4,000 square feet of event space and room for up to 120 guests at a reception. Couples can get ready, say "I do," celebrate and stay the night without leaving the building. Here's how each space fits into the day.
Getting Ready: The Riggs and First Lady Suites
The morning sets the tone, so start the day in style.
The Riggs Suite
The Riggs Suite was once the boardroom of historic bank. Original stonework and detailed architecture give your getting-ready photos a backdrop no hotel room can match. It holds up to 25 guests, with a large table for 12, a wet bar and lounge seating. Two interconnecting king bedrooms mean the whole wedding party can spread out: hair and make-up in one room, the dress or tux waiting in the other.
First Lady Suites
The First Lady Suites are ideal for a couple getting ready separately. Each suite features a separate living room freestanding soaking tub and a marble bathroom. Choose the florals of the Ida McKinley Suite, the blue-and-white porcelain of the Caroline Harrison Suite, the jewel tones of the Angelica Van Buren Suite, or the Louisa Adams Suite, where a working petite grand piano awaits.
